Sunday February 28th-5th day in Nepal

This day was a holiday known as Holi in Nepal. This is the day that represents the coming into Spring. On this day they put colored powder onto each other's faces and throw water ballons. This holiday can also be dangerous because the people get into it and someone may get hurt or molested, especially women. For this reason we were not allowed to go into the street. Instead we played and celebrated with the people who lived around us. We threw water ballons filled with color dye at each other and poured buckets of water over each other's heads and decorated each other with different colors. By the end of the water we were all covered with different colors over our clothes and face. My clothes were soaking wet but it was worth it. We had so much fun together and got a better sense of the holiday. Happy Holi!!!
Later that day we did not have anything planned so we relaxed, packed or contacted loved ones. the teacher, a friend and myself got massages that were spectacular. I was so comfortable that when I got back I quickly ate dinner and slept. That day will probably be the one I remember the most.
