March 1st-6th day in Nepal. Water rafting

After leaving Kathmandu on Monday March 1st, we drove for two hours until we reached the place for water rafting. As soon as we got there all the equipment we were going to be used was all laid out on the ground. People that were not changed got changed, and people that were changed started getting on the the equipment. The things that everyone had to have were a helmet, a life jacket and you had to have a paddle. After everyone was ready, we walked down to the water where there were 4 rafts that were reserved for us. We all knew which ones were ours because there was a sign in front of them that say "We heartly welcome the Ross School" . It was a nice sign. After the four guides told us the safety rules we needed to know we all split ourselves up into the 4 rafts. In my raft there were Ms Philippi, Ms Arena, Faith Abby, D'Ashley. Alia and I. We had lots of fun. We were singing and talking the whole time. We also had a competition with the other rafts, who could reach the spot we were having lunch at and to the end first. Some of us also went swimming. The tour guide would tell us which spots were safe for swimming while we were rafting. The water was freezing but it still was a lot of fun to jump off the raft into the water. We all had a lot of fun and when we finally reached the end some of us did not want to stop. I believe some of us felt this way because we did not have to get back on the bus, but we had to.
When we finally got to Chitwan to the hotel "Eden Jungle Resort", we had tea and a guide took us on a walk. We saw elephants and he showed us where the internet and phones were. They were far from where we stayed. It was about a 10 minute walk but we stayed there for about half an hour. Then we went back. It was a long day for all of us and we were definitely tired after, but it was a lot of fun going water rafting. Kayla Jerido
